My Tudung...

Tudung "Shiela Rusly"

More "shiela rusly"

Tudung "lipat jatuh"

Ok, cerita pasal tudung sikit...for these couple of months, I saw some muslim ladies wearing the "tudung" like I wear on the top. I've seen many Indon style, which is totally out of my interest, so I keep on wearing the "bawal" one in order to play safe. First, my face is round shape, so I'm worried of looking as an old woman if I'm wearing the Indon style one. But lately, when I went to jalan TAR, the new design tudung which other name is "tudung senget" caught my eyes. So, I'd tried on the spot, and hmmm... I like it. It's definitely easy to wear, and look casual and elegant if you good in choosing colour to match with your dress. I thought of buying more, now I have 3 pairs (white&black, red&black and green mode..).
One more, the "bawal" tudung, usually we will just fold the end of tudung to the front or raise it up on our head. But lately, many girls prefer to "lipat jatuh" (tak tahu nama apa dah...), like the one I'm wearing on the last two pics. Especially if you have casual top with wide cut on the neck, this is the best sollution to cover it. I'ts really comfortable, and I can say a simple and nice style to where at any time.

One Week Break...

My flower decor and the white dressing table...

More on the bed room and side table...

The dressing table and another "my" flower decor...

Mama's tikar sarawak...

Huda's flower decor and more flowers at pasar tani...

My biskut makmur and barbeque chicken (yum..yum..)

I took one whole week "bertapa" kat JB just to release my tension from work, masters and etc... I finished my time helping my mom to decorate the house (siap buat flower decoration lagi), went to pasar tani with her and finish my master assignment last minute (kerja master gak..huh).
I did a lot of cooking (dah lama tak masuk dapur masak macam-macam). I made some barbeque chicken with black pepper, rosemary, dhil and parsley fresh herbs, asam pedas kepala ikan, padprik ayam and biskut makmur (flour, ghee and sugar...mix and roll to balls and bake 150 degree celcius for 30 minutes...coat with castor sugar.
I will be going home today to see my white warddrobe to match the white dressing table. Actually it's one set, but first we thought of not buying the warddrobe. Tapi lepas dressing table arrive, rasa nak match with that warddrobe, baru nice. In my mind, I want to decorate the room in white soft English style (which is my favourite), thats why when I see any white or cream furniture with some English touch on it (like TV show "sugar" with the white kitchen...) I akan belek-belek for hours sampai puas.
I bought the two side tables (a bit cream colour), dressing table and wardrobe total up around RM1,000++..tak percaya kan, but hey bukan kayu murah ok, really solid wood. Just to carry the dressing table need two people to push it, not to carry it. So, its worthwhile of buying and salute my mom for a good skill on bargaining..hihi..
The furnitures already complete, now just to touch up with some bed lamp, pictures and other cute stuffs. Well, at least when any guest or my relatives come to stay, they can use the room. Thats why the room is on the ground floor near to the kitchen (biasa org buat as guest room kan..).

JB Home Latest Look

Living Hall and Huda's Room

Fish Pond (Still in progress)
Just to share some of the latest pictures of our family house in Austin Perdana. On my last day of raya holiday, I went home to have a look at our house. So, far ok, nice. I like the new sofa on the mini living hall upstairs that my parents bought at Angsana. It comes with 3 seat + 1 Seat + Cleopatara seat. Huda placed the cleopatra one in her room. I like the cleopatra seat (just like cinderella seat...hihi).

BIGG swimming pool & Garden lamps at Nilai

Mee goreng and Sotong goreng Huda

Iftar at equatorial and terubuk goreng

Sambal belacan ikan bilis & Bread pudding with custard sauce

Ikan keli masak lemak cili padi and tangan misteri tengah menggoreng udang

Ahhh...it has been soooo longgg I never update any latest precious news here. I've been busy with teaching work and master exam on this Sunday (waagghh!!!...). So, I thought of release my pressure by updating my blog....hmmm. We have another 1,2,3,4..5, ok 5 days to go before we celebrate raya. Why I'm not in raya mood at all? I didn't buy any new baju kurung (I've plenty clothes that are still new and in good conditions) although I've been looking for one at PKNS for almost 2 hours. Entah...pattern baju entah apa-apa. I thought of going there again night before raya. Mana tahu I jumpa apa-apa yg berkenan...(perabih duit aku jer).
During this ramadhan month, every weekend my family and I will go down to Puchong for family reunion and have dinner together. We cook many "emergency" food and I made bread pudding for my family since adik boy was craving about it (selagi dia tak dapat, selagi tu merengek mintak suruh buatkan). So I baked the pudding plus...haha...brown custard sauce...yumyum...later I upload the recipe ok...sekarang tengah malas lagi. I also made sambal belacan ikan bilis goreng tumbuk (mama I suka sangat kalau sambal-sambal ni) and masak lemak cili padi tumis ikan keli...waaaa....manyak sedap lo... If in Melaka, tak habis-habis bazaar ramadhan...ada jugak some of my friends invite bukak puasa kat rumah and sempat jugak perabih duit aku bukak puasa kat Equatorial...
Other things, I also went to see my uncle's new raya house (apartment lot) in Sunway last weekend. Guess what? It has a BIGGG....totally TREMENDOUS BIGGG....SWIMMING POOL!!! Wahhhh!!! I totally crazy for the first time I saw that pool. (Hehe rajin la aku bertandang rumah pakcik aku ni...). I didn't try it yet, but pool...wait for my arrival...hehehe...
Whatever....Selamat Hari Raya, Maaf Zahir and Batin...for those yang I benci, I maafkan korang time raya je ye...then I benci korang balik until next year raya..hahahaha...!

Rendang Precious Treasure

My sister asked me to upload my rendang recipe, she want to make it for the break of her "fasting" month. I just copy the picture from the web, sorry...hihi. However the look of my rendang almost similar to that picture. I prefer not to wet and not to dry rendang. Rendang is always my favourite together with pulut kuning (mana badan tak naik...isk...isk). I used to cook for my family, during raya or for any season. Different people will have different style of cooking rendang. I'll always try to reduce the calories by using "low fat"coconut milk and less of using kerisik ( I prefer to make it on my own). My sister is waiting for the recipe, no need to wait any longer, so here is the recipe....

Ingredient A (Blend)
Cili Kering
Bawang merah, putih
Halia
Lengkuas
Serai
Kunyit Hidup
Buah Keras

Ingredient B
Chicken or Beef (Optional: You can try to use Kerang, Udang and Sotong)
Daun Limau Purut and daun kunyit (hiris mayang)
Asam Keping
Gula Melaka (white sugar can be used)
Kerisik (kelapa parut digoreng kecoklatan and ditumbuk sehingga keluar minyak)
Bunga lawang, buah pelaga, kulit kayu manis, bunga cengkih
Coconut milk
Salt
Oil

Methods:
1. Tumis or fry bunga lawang, buah pelaga, kulit kayu manis, bunga cengkih with ingredient A till fragrant. This will take a longer time around 15 minutes.
2. Put in the chicken/beef and stir slowly. Let the juice seal in the chicken/ beef. Beef will take a longer time.
3. After half cook, pour in coconut milk and continue stir. Let it cook for 20 minutes.
4. Put in asam keping, gula melaka, salt, kerisik, daun limau purut and daun kunyit. Cook for another 10 minutes.
5. Ready to be served.
