Hihihi...bye bye Penang...
Although I was a bit late for the Penang trip, but hey sempat lagi mengisi perut dengan semua semua makanan yang diidam-idamkan tau...yumyum.
I took a bus from Melaka Central and thanks to Min for sending me there. Reach Penang around 5.30 a.m at Terminal Bas Sg. Nibong. Once I reach the hotel, Berjaya Hotel at Pulau Tikus area, I had a rest till noon (tu bukan rest, tidur namanya...;) and then, start our mission... "memburu makanan". Huahuahua....
What makes Penang so special to our heart other than I was born there, were the food which were truly heaven and we went to some of our nostalgic places to memorized all the old good days with my family. My parents missed so much during the days, we were still small (still baby and toddler) where they would bring us for outing to many interesting places.
As for lunch, we went to Transfer Road to remember the taste of sup tulang merah with barli and macaroni. If you tell the taxi driver nasi padang famous kat Transfer Road, absolutely here was the place. There were plenty of food to be choose from.
Dah kenyang, we continue our journey to Penang Road to search for cucur udang and cendol. The cucur look very simple, but what makes the different was it been cook once they received the order. Memang best giler, siap tapau 3 bungkus makan on the way balik pulak keesokan harinya...huhuhu. Gerai memang sempoi, gerai tepi jalan, tapi sorang2 order, belum tambah ngan kete stop pun order gak. Fantastic view to be seen. Same with cendol, I couldn't see the stall sbb semua orang kerumun kat stall tauke tu. The cendol really nice, tak tebal, halus jer and the coconut gravy not that sweet.

Argghhhh...perutku teramat kenyang. Semua nak bulun dalam satu hari, esok dah kena balik, Huda lak kerja...aihhh...nyampah tul.
Ok, we have a walk at Botanical Garden around half an hour. Ni pun nostalgia jugak. Time kecik, mama suka bawak kat sini tengok beruk yang bukan sahaja ganas tetapi juga boleh membunuh orang (hee...acah jer). Tapi beruk2 nih, memang peragut harta benda orang paling ganas. Nasib baik, tak jumpa beruk banyak sangat kali ni. Furthermore, to our luck, rupa-rupanya Botanical Garden ada buat Pesta Bunga. There were many types of colourful and geourgous flowers everywhere to be seen. Whatelse could be done, it was photo shoot time!!!
Next, we thought of visit Butterfly Farm and Sleeping Budha, but it's quite late. So, we head to Ferringhi to taste durian. Bukan sembarangan durian tau, di lereng-lereng bukit, you could see plenty of durian trees. Gemuk-gemuk durian dia, and truly organic, takde sembur-sembur punya. We stop at this famous stall which famous with durian udang merah. But, I didn't have luck to try one on that day. Diaorang yang lain dah try awal, ceh...hmmm it's ok but I manage to try durian merah and yang pahit. Memang terasa sampai ke anak tekak. Truly fresh.
Next, we had our dinner at Teluk Kumbar for the mee udang. Kalau pegi Penang tak makan cucur udang and mee udang, memang tak sah. Mee udang ni special, because it was a large size portion, boleh share 2-3 orang and there are 6 -7 large prawns inside the dish. Oh my gosh....really truly heaven!!!
Then, we did some window shopping (really?) along the hill side at Ferringhi. Kalau kat Melaka, lebih kurang macam jonker walk lah rupanya. Mula-mula beli gelang satu, kipas satu...dah cukup. Tapi, dua orang adik-adikku (sapa lagi Huda and Ena) jumpa spot jual sarung bantal (the square shape). What made us crazy were, they were truly our favourite...whitish, lacy, embroidery and english style!!! Hahh, apa lagi, ngan mak, ngan anak borong dekat 2 jam duk kat kedai tu. Cakap kat abah (abah tak minat join...duk dalam kete) pegi 15 minit jer. Memang fedup lah org tua tuh..terus bad mood on the way nak balik hotel...heehee...sowwy abah....mmmuuaahhh...But the shopping really worth it, mama bargain the price habis-habisan. We knew they are really expensive if you bought at retail store such as Jusco or Sogo or some english style shop decor. I didn't snap the pics of our shopping, but I will upload them soon.
Well, there are many great places yet to be seen, hmm...kena datang lagilah nampaknya. Bye-bye Penang, we will come again soon!!!
