Joy in My Kitchen - Food Blog...

While browsing on Kevin & Amanda blog (one of my fav blog), I've found one simply delicious blog that will be add as one of my must view list, Joy in My Kitchen blog! Wow...amazing! Couldn't believe she cook all those food and what truly amazed was that she had plenty plenty plenty of wonderful recipes...and second reason made me pause on her blog was that she really cook deeply from her heart, and makanan dia macam besh besh gitu! Though more on western, italian food (dah memang tu makanan diaorang...), tapi since Amanda had recommend the blog, so just go for it! She was so sincere, cook for her family, treat her friends with her food which I love to do that, cuma perkataan "rajin" tu tak ada sekarang...hihihi...tahun depan boleh kot. ;)

She also admit that she had no interest on cooking before. Her first cook was an apple pie and she was so over joyed that her apple pie came out well. Siap panggil grandma dia datang rumah tu try her first apple pie. Orang kata kalau orang tua approve sedap, so masakan kita nih superb and approve untuk dihidangkan kepada orang ramai. This was what she said on her blog:

"Growing up, I had little interest in cooking. Then, I entered a part of my life where food allergies dominated and I actually feared food! While I still struggle, with God's help, I have found enjoyment in food and in cooking."

Tiba-tiba teringat time zaman sekolah dulu-dulu masa stay kat Wakaf Stan, Kelate. And, ada lagi satu rumah, tapi bukan tempat lepaklah, cuma orang gaji rumah ni suka memasak dan rumah tu ada ramai anak jugak tapi still kecik-kecik lagi time tuh. Yang the girls suka tengok was the eldest brother, study Sekolah Maahad, and kitaorang panggil Mr.S coz his name start ngan huruf S, tersangatlah "Shy" orangnya and dia sangat lah "Sweet" from his face, appearance and paling penting "Smart" in his study. Haihh...sayang tul dah kawen rupanya sekarang (ada sekali tu jumpa balik org gaji tu kat Tesco Puchong, dia yang beritahu...), penat tul aku tackle time tuh. Hahaha...poyo!
So, zaman tu memang suka sangat masak, coz another reason maybe adik-adikku ni lapar ajer kerjanya, termasuklah aku, hahaha..!!! Time tu suka sangat buat kek coklat and buat puding roti gula hangus. Cik Ani suka buat puding caramel, kakak comel suka masak nasi goreng pedas and orang gaji rumah sebelah suka buat roti tempayan makan ngan sardin. So, kerja aku time tu masa lapang, buat kek coklat hantar ke rumah-rumah jiran, tengok jiran-jiran masak apa and cuba buat sendiri kat rumah. Memang best jugak time tuh. Rasa happy sangat bila tengok orang suka makan makanan kita masak. Especially adik-adikku yang selalu cakap sedap coz kalau tak sedap, hmmm...paham-paham ajelah...hahahah!

Back to the point (dah kat mana aku nih...). Though some recipes ada few ingredients which are non-halal for muslim, it's fine with me. Just to get the idea what she always cook for her family. And, I've been planning to test these two sweet recipes from her blog (bila nak buat tu tak tahu...huhuhu...):

Abah loves scone so much recently. Nampak jer bakery shop jual scones mesti beli. So, I think of give it a try. Kalau best, then boleh buat lagi!
Haha! You will always love anything hot gewy chocolaty taste inside a ramekin bowl. Nigella Lawson (my fav food program in AFC and so famous with chocolate recipes) also made this before and she called it Choco-Hot-Pot. Mixer dah ada, tinggal nak cari ramekins jer or maybe buat dalam satu loyang kecil....ish tak sabarnyer nak try!
