Bali Moments - Day 2

We started our day by having first day breakfast at the hotel cafe. Abah and the boys went for the breakfast first (boring tunggu yang pompuan lambat betul nak bersiap).

During our check-in yesterday, the counter lady gave us few small pink papers to each of us, something like a coupon for a breakfast. But, unsual like in Malaysia, we used to have a buffet, but on the coupon gave us just few selections what type of breakfast that you want and will be prepared based on order. So, it stated there (on the coupon):

1. Tea or coffee
2. Breakfast set:
-fried rice, fried noodles, pancakes with honey or toasts with jam and butter (choose one), plus
- one egg (either scramble egg, half cook or well cook) and also stated there with bacon or ham, plus
-orange juice or fruit salad (choose one)

After abah and the boys dah habis makan pun kitaorang masih tak siap-siap lagi. Haihh. biasa ladies...so Kamal pun ceritalah dia order scramble egg pastu lupa nak cakap tak nak bacon. Bila order sampai, alamak camner nak makan. Then suruh orang cafe tu buat new scramble egg without bacon. A'ah ye lah tu, tak de bacon, padahal goreng dalam kuali yang sama kot...huhuhu.

Me at the cafe, nice art decor at the cafe's wall...

Now the girls turn pulak for breakfast. The breakfast started from 7 a.m - 10.30 a.m. Lagi setengah jam nak tutup kedai baru kitaorang nak turun. The rest ordered toasts except me yang gatal-gatal nak try pancake kat situ (chef pancakelah katakan...hee;)) kononnya nak buat comparison ngan pancake yang kita buat sendiri.

Pancake with honeyku...ler lempeng ker...nyesal aku order yang nih...

"Here, your order miss"...aiyaa..lempeng ker, hmmm...ni kalau makan ngan sambal ikan bilis barulah best. Haihh...makan je lah. Tomorrow tak nak dah order, huh. And, for the egg, all of us ordered half boil egg (teringat balik scramble egg yang Kamal order) and some coffe, tea, orange juice and fruit salad. So, as a conclusion, memang setiap pagi makan menu yang sama jer lah.

Anyway, it's good since perutku yang sensitif nih tak meragam sangat waktu pagi. Oklah untuk lapik perut till lunch.

Muka tengah tension nak habiskan pancake yang tak sedap...

Hee...dah habis pun...dah boleh start untuk pergi jalan-jalan!

Destination 1: Kuta's Beach

The beach was so near to the hotel and it took us 10 minutes walk to the beach. The scene was so liveable here as it was the center point of tourist attraction with affordable hotels, full of indoor and outdoor activities.

You might see along the road to the beach full of shops selling craft work and souvenirs, offering massages and spas, foods and other stuffs. For shopping tips, no need to worry to bargain at the lowest and cheapest price here coz mostly they simply markup the price up to 200%. So, you must be very good on bargaining to get the lowest price as possible.

Thanks to mama for being the best bargainer forever, sampaikan kitaorang rasa, macam dah tak masuk akal jer harga yang mama bargain. Memang tak balik modallah kalau tawar-menawar ngan mak aku. Hihihi!

In front of a restaurant in Kuta...lupa nak tengok nama apa, tapi tempat nih cantik. And sebelah kitaorang tu tempat sembahyang diaorang. Kain petak hitam putih boleh jumpa kata mana-mana berhala, boleh kata semua pakai kain corak yang sama.

The first thing I noticed here in Bali, there were too many temples. You could see them everywhere. Macam compulsory lak semua tempat kena ada berhala (lebih kurang macam kat atas). Yang tak tahan sikit, bau asap kemenyan dia tuh. Kadang-kadang naik pening sebab terhidu banyak sangat bau tu especially in the morning.

Still at the same restaurant...some kind of an antique car placed on the entrance of the restaurant...and can you see the long grass on the left. It was placed in a pond, so sekeliling kedai tuh, memang ada pond yang memanjang, ada ikan dalam tuh and memang cantik sangat kalau nak santai petang-petang for tea...

Another kind of Balinese structure...along the way to the beach...

The shops selling clothes, souvenirs. Bargain till you drop!

Well, there's nothing much caught my interest to shop here. Except mama and the girls, sakan membeli, tapi bukan kat shop kat sini sahaja. Wait for next entry, on the day 3 punya activities. I don't know, macam kat Malaysia pun ada jer benda yang dijual kat sini. So, I guess shopping craze not one of my my must do list here, so tengok jelah dioarang beli t shirtlah, blouse lah, barangan mandi lulurlah, entah apa entah, macam-macam.

Apa maksud bargain yang tak masuk akal tu, ok, example beli t shirt 2 helai Rp 20,000, contoh jer lah. So, Rp10,000 tuh dalam RM4 kita. T shirt RM4, sapa nak jual. Habis-habis pun RM10. Mama memang "pukul" harga habis-habisan sampai dah naik kesian tengok penjual-penjual tuh. Nasib korangler dapat pembeli macam mak aku...huhuhu! So, kitaorang kalau nak beli apa-apa, kena heret mama untuk bargain. Satu lagi tips, jangan tunjuk macam kita desperate sangat nak barang tuh. Buat-buat ler gaya tak nak, then pergi ke kedai lain. Kalau pergi kedai lain pun diaorang tak kasi, tapi desperate punya pasal nak jugak, ahh..beli je lah! Seems do I care?Hahaha!

Huda with her new floppy hat and with mama, in front of another structure, probably another temple I guess. And, yeahh...finally arrive at the beach. See, sampai pokok pun kena balut ngan kain petak tuh...

Viewing the beach, what a lovely sunny day! Adik aku yang kecik sorang tuh dah tahap poyo posing kononnya macam model tepi pantai...huh.

The 3 heroes...can you see the wave at the back there...

Lovely couple forever...

You could see this kind of thing everywhere. Setiap pagi, depan rumah ke, kedai ker, mesti ada benda sembahyang nih. Bersepah-sepah kat jalan-jalan kena sepak ngan orang. They said, it's ok kalau kena sepak pun, kononnya nak halau benda jahat camtu...siap ada biskut cracker tuh...nih kalau lapar, boleh ngap nih...;)

Boboy's "kerok" shoes...tengok cacing hijau pun ada keluar masuk kat kasut tuh...hee..geli!

Along the pathway at the beach...

Along the beach, you could find people offering for foot and body massages, making fake tatoos, manicure, pedicure, selling goods, street foods, provide training for any kind of beach activities such as water skating and sewa tikar nak duduk kat pantai pun ada! Satu lagi, punyalah ramai jual sunglasses, adalah dalam RM8 satu. Sapa yang tak ada sunglasses, memang beli sorang satu. Takpe kalau pecah, boleh beli yang lain..huhu!

We met one guy at the beach, Ariss who offered us to take a ride to Nusa 2 to experience few interesting water activities there. So, we promised to meet him at the hotel around 2 p.m.

As for lunch, we had ours just next to our hotel was a Muslim restaurant named Restoran Nikmat. Memang teramatlah nikmat makan kat kedai tuh. :)

We then decided to pack the food due to over crowded at the shop (coz peak hour people were having lunch) and had our lunch at the hotel room, plus nak kejar time kul 2 to Nusa 2. We just ate nasi campur with varieties of lauk-pauk and the food was so so...not bad at all. Cuma tekak nih kena adjust sikit nak sesuaikan ngan masakan sana. Time nih tiba-tiba rindu nak makan ayam masak lemak cili padiku...huhu!

Destination 2: Nusa 2 Beach

At 2.30 p.m, Ariss drove us to Nusa 2 which took around 30 minutes to reach the place. Along the way to Nusa 2 beach, there were lots of 5 stars hotel everywhere and it's a bit quite though. And, there were few stylish and elegant cafes, yeahh to cater for those upper level people. But, it's quite hard to find Muslim's food around here.

Ariss told us, if nak honeymoon, privacy, kira tempat nih memang sesuai ler. The hotel room view, straight away to the beach and the best place to escape from crowded such as Kuta beach. And, what caught my eyes was ada one hotel name Bvlgari. Woww...tauke perfume pun ada bukak hotel dah ke sekarang nih. Takpe, second trip maybe, kita try duk kat kawasan nih...;)

We then been introduced to one guy (forgot the name) who run the business of all these beach activities. After half an hour introduction and explanation, so we decided to play 3-4 activities such as...

1. Parasailing

Ready to take off...totally nervous for the first time...

All instructors here called me Kak Ros. Sikit-sikit, "Kak Ros careful ya". Ingat sapalah Kak Ros tuh, rupa-rupanya cerita Upin and Ipin famous kat Indonesia and Kak Ros tu nama kakak diaorang dalam cerita tuh. Patutler kat TV dok main Upin and Ipin series tiap-tiap hari. Geram pun ada, suka hati panggil aku Kak Ros. Grrr....

All of us went for parasailing. Mama paling nervous sampai terketar-ketar tangan mama bila dah turun. Kesian kat mama! Coz bila orang suruh tarik tali sekuat hati untuk turun, mama tak turun-turun jugak. Takut pun ada, but the owner guaranteed us 100% safety, so just enjoy and have fun!

Waaa....I'm on the air!

What a nice view from the air, mula-mula cuak jugak, tapi bila dah kat atas, bestnya tengok scenery, nampak pulau-pulau kecil, laut...cantik sangat, terus hilang nervous. Bestnyer!

Next game...

2. Jet ski

Boboy was so excited with the jet ski

Kamal pun sama...

Dua budak nih especially yang paling kecik tuh dalam family (Boboy) paling excited main kat sini. Only 2 of them main jet ski, kita dah pernah main kat PD dulu. Main kat sini pun sebab layan si kecik tu, kalau tak mengungkit jer kerjanya pergi Bali boring ler, tak main apa-apa ler...haihh susah tul. Nih dah puas main, tak ler bising sangat kalau terpaksa follow the girls pergi shopping nanti.

Next game...

3. Flying fish

Abah and mama ready to take off...

I was not so sure about this info. But, the owner said kat Malaysia tak ada game nih. So, we decided to give it a try rather than opt to choose banana boat. Why flying fish, coz, the boat would drag that yellow kinda bot thing (as in picture), in a high speed till it flew up into the air for few meters from the water level. Yang paling sakit badan, masa kena tarik ler. Bila dah naik ke udara, biasa jer, cuma pegang kuat2 handle takut terlepas jer. No need to worry, instructor was always there. Dijamin selamat.

And, for our last game...

4. Skuba Diving

Yup..no kidding, tak ada lesen pun boleh diving kat Bali. We really took the risk sebab nak try punya pasal and safety guarantee yang bersungguh-sungguh diberikan oleh owner. He told us that we were not going to dive deeply as a professional diver. Just around 300 meters below sea level, dapat tengok coral sikit and ikan sikit, dapat rasa feel macam mana menyelam sudah memadai. And, importantly able to snap memorable pics and videos in the sea!

Since I'd having asthma, so I've been given my own instructor, takut tiba-tiba lemas dalam air mampus aku! My instructor had 25 diving experiences, could you imagine that and he was so good for teaching me short lesson on breathing technique, how to relax and calm yourself in the water, avoid using any strength or power while in the water and few signals to be used while diving. ye la, takkan ler nak bukak mulut dalam air cakap "tolong, tolong nak lemas!"

Our instructors would in charged for other complicated settings for the diving. We just followed their instructions innocently and prayed to God everything would be fine. Alright, first wear your duckling slippers, then slowly jump into the water (dah la kat tengah-teganh laut pulak tuh, kecut perut aku), my instructor put on my diving jacket, oxygen tank, my goggles and that's it!. Then learn how to breath through the oxygen tank, memang susah tul part nih. Ada dekat setengah jam, tarik lepas, tarik lepas nafas. Then, test masuk kepala sikit dalam air guna oxygen, oopppsss...macam nak lemas je, naik balik, then try lagi sampai ler boleh turun betul-betul ke dalam air.

With my personal instructor...sepanjang dalam air, tangan nih tak lepas pegang dia jer, takut yang teramat!

Peace...enjoying myself! Dah boleh posing sikit!

Dah ok sikit, boleh selam, then baru dapat join adik-adikku yang lain bagi ikan makan. Mama and abah tak dive lagi, duk tunggu atas boat. Kat bawah ni, dapatlah jugak tengok coral and ikan sekor dua, maybe dah agak petang, so ikan pun dah tak banyak yang datang.

So, after our turn, then mama and abah pulak turun. Lucky to mama, banyak ikan yang datang when mama fed them. Just nice!

Mama enjoying her moment feeding the fishes...

OMG! How truly exhausted we were for the day! We reached the beach back around 6.30 p.m. After cleaned ourselves, took shower and so on then ready for next destination. And, yang paling penting bayar dulu yer sebelum balik! Well, overall we spent around Rp 5,000,000 +/- for all the games for 7 of us. Convert sendirilah yer dalam RM berapa!

Destination 3: Jinbaran's Beach

Did you realized that we've been to three beaches for a day! And, what so special at Jinbaran? Well, of course the seafood candle light dinner at the beach. Wow...beshnyer!

Along the beach you would see lots of seafood restaurants. What a great night to hang around here for dinner! We arrived at Blue Marlin Restaurant, and starting from the entrance, we've been welcomed by a sweet Balinese girl, complete with her traditional costume and hand over to each of us a cute frangipani fresh flower as a sign of welcoming us to their restaurant. So nice! Sorry, I couldn't upload the pic with the entrance girl due to some privacy reasons.

Then, the waiter brought us to our table. Wow! What a view! You could see the beach, the wave, the moon, the candle light on the table, the fresh and cooling night air, what else would you expect! Superb!

Traditional dance performance. Other restaurants have their own performance too...

Abah and Enna made the order and while waiting, we had a chance to see some performances held by the restaurant as our entertainment of the night.

Mama with the dancers. This was the second performance. They performed fire dance, tapi tak sempat nak snap sebab battery camera dah low sangat.

One of our dishes, crabby...masak apa entah...

My food...errkk..sorry gelap....huhuhu...

We ordered kerapu and barakuda fish. Abah said barakuda fish is much more wilder compared to tenggiri. Kira anak beranak tenggiri lah ni. And, some squid, prawns, crab and kangkung. Total cost for our dinner at Jinbaran Rp 1,000,000 +/-. Haihh...belanja semua main juta-juta je nih. Jutawan tul duk kat sini...hihihi!

The restaurant view at the beach...we saw a group of musician played guitar and other musical instrument and sang personally to any table as you wish. Cuma bayar je lah...

Another performance but this one from the neighbor restaurant. Masing-masing nak compete bagi best performance. Taktik nak tarik customer lah ni.

Well, that's it for Day 2. Perut dah kenyang, badan dah penat, mata dah layu and it's about time to go home. What a great day!
