Garden at Jusco Big and Sup Daging Merah Macaroni...

We had our dinner at Jusco Big (Jusco Besar), senang nak bezakan dengan Jusco kat Ayer Keroh (Jusco Dekat Rumah), so itulah panggilan kitaorang terhadap 2 Juscos kat Melaka. Untuk meraikan puasa ganti kitaorang...huhuhu...so dengan gembiranya masuk Garden ni for dinner. We sat down looked at the menu book...oooo...apa nih...brown rice, lavender tea, nutritious food, less salt, less sugar...aaaa...makanan orang diet ker. Hmmm...takpe, belasah jer, kalau tak try tak tahu...(pujuk hati suruh try jugak sebab dah duduk kat kedai tu). So, let see what we ordered...

Enna: Mmm...apa aku nak order yer. Ambik yang mahal sekali lah, sebab bukannya aku yang kena bayar...hihihi!

Enna: Makan dulu yer!

Enna: Hmm...apa tengok-tengok. Pergi jauh-jauh, orang nak makan nih!

Izza: Seronok nampak orang depan makan, mana makanan aku tak sampai lagi nih...(muka tgh control geram kat Enna)...

Enna ordered grilled chicken with king prawn sauce and brown rice...

Me orderd signature brown rice, with egg and grilled chicken...entahlah nama panjang sangat dah lupa...

This is the lavender tea...OMG...bukannya sedap, macam minum air perfume pulak sebab bau kuat sangat...aaaa...mabuk, mabuk, mabuk..help...help..help!

Kitaorang bertambah-tambah mabuk bila bau lavender semakin kuat. Cuba bayangkan duduk dalam kedai lovely lace sambil makan nasi, pening tahap gaban! Sebab tak tahan punya pasal nak minum air, order jus orange+lemon+honey...aahhh...lega sikit tekak tapi kepala dah pusing semacam jer...weng..weng...

As a conclusion, this will be the first and the last time dining in here. Dah rasa macam makan dedak ayam je brown rice kat kedai nih. Though the restaurant was promoting nutritious food, but for me, the food were totally tasteless, the ingredients being used were not so fresh. For example, the chicken was not that juicy and tender, the vegetables macam tak fresh jer, the food being served macam panas ngan tak panas and much more. Better makan crispy chicken kat cafe luar kedai nih. Huh!

The lavender tea, terribly made us sick for the whole night. Part paling kelakar, keluar jer kedai terhuyung-hayang jalan tak tentu arah sebab pening sangat. Enna siap hidu minyak cap kapak, (sebab nak muntah) aku siap cari ice blended hazelnut coffee kat coffee bean nak hilang bau...ooo dasyat tu penangan tea lavender. In the menu book, said the tea is for healing, for relaxing whatever, but I guess combination makan nasi and that kind of tea were totally a mess!

We went for grocery shopping after the dinner, and I made this for our sahur for the next day (puasa lagi hari nih)...Sup Daging Merah Macaroni...

Beef, macaroni, potato...dah tinggal separuh..dimakan oleh anak-anak shrek...

It was supposed to look like a red soup, tapi macaroni dah serap semua sup yang ada, so jadilah pekat macam tuh. Suddenly mengidam nak makan sup tulang merah barli and macaroni kat Transfer Road, Penang. So, google for the menu, and this is my version, cuma tukar letak daging biasa and barli pun tak letak.

Enna and Kamal kata sedap sangat, so ahhh...nasib baik jadi. Tapi sekali tengok macam kari pun ada kan. Nih sebab dalam resepi suruh letak rempah sup, terus colour merah (becoz of tomato puri), jadi colour like curry beef pulak. Maybe next time I'll try to reduce the amount of rempah sup, if you want to have a thin, light soup.

For sharing and caring, here is the recipe...but I alter a little bit to make my own version...

Sup Daging Merah Macaroni



Ingredients (For 3 -4 persons):

Daging lembu atau tulang
(guna ayam tak sesuai kot, rasa mungkin different sikit, but boleh try)
Tomato puri
(tin kecik jer, paling kecil, sebab daging sikit jer)
Rempah sup adabi
(the smallest packet)
Bawang merah, putih and halia
*Cili padi (letak sikit, nih optional sebab nak pedas sikit)
(So, blend kesemuanya - all the bawangs, halia & cili padi)
Kulit kayu manis, bunga lawang, buah pelaga
(untuk menumis)
*Daun ketumbar/ Coriander leaves
(optional, only for garnish)
*Chilli sauce
(optional)
Potato
(in cube)
Hot water
Salt


Methods:

1. Potong daging in cube, goreng dalam minyak sikit (kalau dalam english, just to "brown" the beef). Sekejap je nih, jangan goreng lama sangat. Kang jadi daging goreng, terus hancus.
2. The same oil use for browning the beef, masukkan kulit kayu manis, bunga lawang and buah pelaga, tumis jap, then pour in the blended ingredient.
3. Stir for 2 -3 minutes, then add the tomato puri, chilli sauce.
4. Then add back the beef, add potato and add hot water (sampai tenggelam daging dan kentang, jangan lemas sudah..hihi...).
5. For your info, boleh cook dalam pot or wok yang besar. Then, put on the lid, let it cook for 10-15 minutes, till the beef and potato half-way cook.
6. Add the macaroni and rempah sup. Need to add more hot water, to cook the macaroni.
7. Then, cook till macaroni cook, add salt, add daun bawang...and done!

So, as I said just now, kalau nak hirup macam soup, kurangkan rempah sup, lebihkan air, kalau nak pekat, tambah rempah sup sikit lagi.
